Max Healthcare said Tata AIG has suspended the cashless claim facility across its hospitals, making it the latest insurer to halt cashless ties with the network. The move follows earlier suspensions involving Star Health and Niva Bupa across all Max units, while Care Health halted cashless services at Max hospitals in Delhi–NCR. Max stated the Tata AIG suspension took effect September 10, 2025.
For affected customers, treatment will continue on a pay-and-claim (reimbursement) basis. Patients are advised to check their insurer’s current network list, keep admission, discharge summaries, prescriptions, bills, and investigation reports, and submit claims within the stipulated timelines. Max said it remains open to resolving commercial terms to restore cashless services, while insurers typically cite tariffs, claim deductions, and settlement timelines as points of friction.
Policyholders seeking cashless admission can consider other network hospitals listed by their insurer until any resolution is announced. Further updates from both sides are awaited.
