Mr. Chunky Chhetry, CEO of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Ltd., Nepal has been elected to the prestigious Executive Board of Trustees of the Association of Insurers and Reinsurers of Developing Countries (AIRDC) for the 2024-2026 term. The election was held on October 8, 2024, at the Annual General Membership Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.
With this new role, Mr. Chhetry is expected to actively support AIRDC’s objectives, including fostering regional collaboration, promoting sustainable practices, and encouraging insurers and reinsurers in developing nations to engage with the Association. A key focus will also be his involvement in organizing the upcoming 24th AIRDC Conference, scheduled to take place in 2026 in the iconic location of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
